Content editor
2015 - 2016
As content editor for a group of local newspapers and websites I was responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy newsroom. My duties included proof-reading, running major campaigns, writing, training, dealing with reader queries and co-ordinating with advertising and sales departments. In the final quarter of 2015 my main website had the biggest online growth of any newspaper in the Johnston Press group nationally.

2008 - 2015
Having started on a local newspaper as a junior reporter in 2008, I went on to hold several different roles on newspapers across Sussex including chief reporter, website editor and deputy editor. Upon completion of my NQJ I won the national award for best logbook.

I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2008 with a first-class BA hons in Journalism Studies. During this time I also passed my NCTJ professional qualifcation, achieved 100wpm shorthand and received the Sheffield Star prize for best print portfolio in my graduating year.
